Moroccan Mint Tea
To make a traditional Moroccan mint tea, these grains are used. With these grains a refreshing, sweet and tasty tea can be prepared.
Prepare a real traditional Moroccan mint tea as follows:
First of all you will need a Moroccan teapot or an aluminum pot.
Scoop 1 tablespoon of grains into the pot, pour a dash of boiling water over it and let it swirl around for a minute. Then pour off the water with the lid on the pot.
Wash a bunch of fresh mint and add it to the pot. Add 5 tablespoons of sugar.
Pour about 1.5 liters of boiling water into the pot, stir well and let the tea steep on a low heat with the lid open. When the tea rises, remove the pot from the heat.
Stir well to prevent the drainage holes on the inside of the teapot from being blocked by the tea granules.
Pour the tea out and then pour the tea back into the pot. Repeat this step.
Then pour again, starting low and gradually raising the teapot. The tea gets more oxygen, which benefits the aroma, and it cools down a bit.
Bring the South into your living room and enjoy a true taste sensation!
