White poppy seed
Poppy seeds have a sweet, nutty flavour and are harvested unripe. They are mainly used as a thickener for sauces. For this, the seeds must first be soaked in water and blended. They can also be used to spice up salads and pastas.
Poppy (Papaver soniferum) is the informal name for the dried seed of the opium poppy, which belongs to the poppy family (Papaveraceae) and grows throughout Europe.
White poppy seeds are attributed with several health-promoting properties:

- Promotes digestion
- Lowers cholesterol levels
- Prevents stomach and intestinal complaints
- Reduces appetite
Store in a cool, dry place, shelf life is maximum 24 months.
