Flower of Maryam
The Flower of Maryam, also known as the rose of Jericho, is a small desert plant that, in its resting state, is rolled up. Place it in lukewarm water and it will slowly unfurl, while the water turns light yellow. In Morocco, it is a plant with a long tradition, passed down from mother to daughter, and given a place at the table during special moments in women's lives.
How to Use
Rinse the plant thoroughly under running water. Boil water and let it cool to lukewarm. Pour it into a bowl or dish and place the Flower of Maryam in it. It will slowly open and the water will turn light yellow. Drink the water in small sips, optionally with a spoon of honey.
Do not discard after use: let the plant dry, it will roll back up and can be reused.
You will receive 1 large or 2 small plants, depending on the size.
