Tagine fish with vegetables

In this video, we show you how to quickly and easily prepare a delicious fish and vegetable tagine. We use the delicious Moroccan Spicy Secrets Fish Mix for the perfect base flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg fish of your choice (salmon, cod, sea bream, etc.)
  • 50 ml olive oil from Moroccan Spicy Secrets
  • 50 g ' Fish Mix ' from Moroccan Spicy Secrets
  • 3 large tomatoes (400 g)
  • 3 potatoes (300g)
  • 1 or 2 peppers
  • 1 lemon
  • red or green peppers for extra spice
  • 50 g tomato puree
  • 200 ml water

Recipe for 4 people

  • Start the marinade by mixing the fish mix with the olive oil.
  • Rub the fish well and let it soak in. Add the water to the remaining marinade and set aside for later.
  • While the fish is marinating, slice the potatoes and vegetables. Feel free to vary the ingredients (sweet potato, carrot, etc.).
  • Add a dash of olive oil to the tagine and turn on the heat. Arrange a layer of tomatoes on the bottom, followed by the vegetables.
  • Add the remaining marinade with water and finish with the tomato puree for extra flavor.
  • Place the marinated fish on top of the vegetables and garnish with some lemon and pepper to taste.
  • Place the tagine over low heat and let everything simmer slowly (approximately 50 minutes). The fish will cook beautifully and the flavors will be well-developed.
  • When everything is cooked through, remove the lid from the tagine and let the sauce reduce.

*Serve with fresh Moroccan bread.

**Vary endlessly with your favorite vegetables.

***For some extra spice: cook a red pepper with the vegetables.
