Ingredients:

  • 1 kg chicken thighs
  • 3 large tomatoes
  • 60 ml olive oil from Moroccan Spicy Secrets
  • 30 g Tajine chicken lemon mix from Moroccan Spicy Secrets
  • 450 ml water
  • 2 preserved lemons
  • Green, pitted olives

Recipe for 4 people

  • Marinate the chicken with the olive oil and the herb mix.
  • Cut the tomatoes into slices.
  • Take a tagine or a large cooking pot.
  • Spread the tomatoes over the base.
  • Place the marinated chicken on top.
  • Add the water to the remaining marinade and mix well.
  • Pour this over the tomatoes and chicken.

  • Place the tagine or cooking pot on a medium heat and let it simmer with the lid on for 50 minutes.
  • Then add the olives and lemons and let it cook.
  • Remove the lid from the tagine and increase the heat to evaporate excess moisture, creating a thickened sauce.
