Mustard seed yellow
Yellow mustard seeds form the basis for yellow mustard. In European cuisine, they are often added to dishes for their sweet, yet spicy flavour. Think of curries, masalas, stews and sauces. The seeds can be used whole or ground.
Yellow mustard seeds (Sinapis alba) come from the herbaceous plant in the Brassicaceae family that originates from the Mediterranean region.
Yellow mustard seeds are attributed with several health-promoting properties:
