Garam masala is a roasted mixture of spices. This popular spice mix in Indian cuisine is often used in tandoori dishes, but can also be used to season meat and poultry. It gives a spicy, warm flavor without being hot. To ensure that the scent and aromas are fully expressed, add this spice at the end of cooking.
