Coriander (Coriandrum sativum) is a plant in the Apiaceae family that originates from the Middle East and the Mediterranean.
Coriander leaves give many people a fresh taste. However, about 5 to 20% of people experience a soapy taste when eating this herb. The cause of this is genetically determined.
