Chicken tagine with lemon
Preparation time 60 min Number of persons 4
Ingredients:
1 kg chicken thighs
3 large tomatoes
60 ml Moroccan Spicy Secrets olive oil
30 g “Tajine chicken lemon mix” from Moroccan Spicy Secrets
450 ml water
2 preserved lemons
Green, pitted olives
Recipe for 4 people
Marinate the chicken with the olive oil and the spice mix.
Cut the tomatoes into slices.
Take a tagine or a large cooking pot.
Spread the tomatoes over the base.
Place the marinated chicken on top.
Add the water to the remaining marinade and mix well.
Pour this over the tomatoes and chicken.
Place the tagine or cooking pot on a medium heat and let it cook with the lid on for 50 minutes.
Then add the olives and lemons and let it cook in the thickened sauce for 10 minutes.
